Senior Project Developer - Renewable Energy

Job description

As a Senior Project Developer at Scout, you will be fully responsible for leading your U.S.-based wind, solar, and storage projects through all development phases with a focus on early- to mid-stage phases. You will establish land control, coordinate applications for interconnection, and facilitate environmental, permitting, and transmission reviews. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality and profitable projects that meet all project milestones.

You will be the face of your projects, both externally and internally. Externally, you will build relationships with landowners, community members, regulators, and local government officials to gain project support:

Scout is in search of professionals who have a strong understanding of the financial drivers behind renewable energy projects. Our developers understand which strategies and tactics enhance their projects’ success and use an array of problem-solving skills to implement their plan. Senior Project Developers can point to a diverse set of tactics and strategies that they have deployed in the past with success. Senior Project Developers handle all but the most complex issues independently and have a track record of leading projects, consistently providing leadership to multiple junior-level team members on their projects.

You will join one of three teams, based on your expertise in markets and phase of project development and Scout’s needs at the time of your hire. The three core development teams are as follows:

You will report directly to the Senior Director / Director of the respective team. You will work together and in parallel with other internal and external subject matter experts to progress the wind, solar, and storage projects.

We will review resumes for this role on an ongoing basis with a start date likely in Q3 2023.

Our ideal candidate will be willing to work from our Boulder, Colorado, office at least three days per week. A remote work arrangement will be considered for the right candidate and will involve regular travel to our Boulder office.

Compensation

Target base salary: $140,000-170,000

Attractive bonus potential.
