Procurement Manager
CONUS ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY: Comtech Systems, Inc (CSI) is looking for Procurement Manager candidates who will ensure all purchases are done and tracked until their delivery. Candidates will be expected to work with a spirit of cooperation and must exhibit a tenacious work ethic while possessing the drive and critical thinking to excel in potentially tumultuous conditions.
- Must have an active, current Secret Clearance.

PRIMARY DUTIES: All candidates will perform the following duties:
- Develop, hone, and execute new and/or improved procurement strategies across all channels of purchasing.
- Delegate tasks and supervise the work of purchasing and procurement across all departments.
- Manage every aspect of the supply chain and notify the Government of any possible obstacles to the procurement process.
- Institute policies and procedures for collecting and reporting key metrics.
- Perform cost analysis and set appropriate benchmarks.
- Coordinate deliveries.
- Create policies and procedures for risk management and mitigation.
SKILLS REQUIRED: All candidates will have the following minimum skills:
- Five (5) years of recent specialized experience in purchasing management.
- Strong knowledge of government contract structure and execution.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management.
- Proven history of developing effective inventory management.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally with diverse audiences, internally and externally to foster strong teamwork.
- Work well independently or as a member of a team environment
- Detail-oriented, with strong analytical skills.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Business or Accounting,
OR Associate’s degree plus seven (7) years of recent specialized experience,
OR eleven (11) years of recent specialized experience.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office.
