JOB SUMMARY: Under the management of the VP of Lands, the Lands Analyst I will work closely with our GIS Analyst to create lands and resource-related maps, reports, and provide assistance and technical support in the functions of records maintenance and land and natural resource management. The Lands Analyst I will also act as an alternate for travel to communities throughout the Doyon region to assist in programs, including trespass management and sand, gravel, and rock resources.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT: The majority of work is performed in a professional office setting with a wide variety of people with differing functions, personalities, and abilities. The Lands Analyst is required to perform fieldwork from time to time. The fieldwork may require walking across uneven terrain, standing outside for long periods of time, subject to all of Alaska's weather including cold weather, snow, ice, and rain.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The work is generally sedentary, requiring routine walking, standing, bending, and carrying items weighing less than forty pounds— [Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions].
