Hematology Lab Technician

Job description

Yoh is seeking a Hematology Technician for our Research  client here in St. Louis, MO. This individual will be performing various diagnostic laboratory procedures, including necropsy prosection, blood, microbiological, and other sample collection. The chosen candidate will need to be skill in hematology (including differential counts). This position will also assist with technical aspects of studies and experiments, including documentation and preparation of materials.


Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Lab or Research Technician or other relevant position (preferably with experience handling animal or human biological samples and experience in microbiology).
  • Microbiology, hematology, clinical chemistry, or histotechnology experience desired. 
  • Ability to comprehend and follow SOPs and written instructions from veterinary, supervisory, and research staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and communicate with laboratory staff and investigators.
  • Ability to maintain complete and organized records/reports.
  • Working knowledge of computer software and general lab equipment.
  • A conscientious attitude and concern for quality and animal welfare.
