Job description

Hire Direct is seeking a Bilingual Food Sanitation and Quality Generalist to join an established, growing group in Belmont WI with an emphasis on employee engagement and development. As a Food Safety Quality Generalist, you will be responsible for implementing, verifying, and improving the sanitation programs in accordance with regulatory, customers, food, and safety standard systems requirements.

Salary: $85,000 / Plus yearly bonus

Work Schedule: Sunday -Thursday 4:00am 12:30pm (flexibility to work weekends)

General Responsibilities:

  • Apply and enforce all quality and food safety programs.
  • Verify cleaning activity and perform equipment, building cleaning verification after sanitation activities.
  • Take necessary measures when there is deviation from policy standards.
  • Alert appropriate personnel if employees are not following required programs.
  • Perform daily GMPs audits and follow correction, corrective actions as needed.
  • Apply and enforce all quality and food safety programs.
  • Work closely with maintenance for work orders implementation and follow-up after audit.
  • Assist in inspection of non-conforming products as needed.
  • Translate departments documentation in Spanish as needed.
  • Train sanitation personnel as needed (sanitation good practices, chemicals, equipment verification).
  • Perform monthly review training for new employees and yearly quality/food safety refresher training.
  • Supervise Janitors activities and organize their schedule.
  • Follow and apply safety rules and comply with all companies' policies and procedures.

Education and Knowledge Requirements:

  • Sanitation Knowledge. Chemicals, good practices
  • Microbiological Knowledge
  • Bilingual English and Spanish. Must be able to read and write in spanish
