We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Cost Analyst to lead our cost analysis operations.
As our Senior Cost Analyst, you will act as a conduit between our financial data and the strategic decision-making process. You will have the privilege of ensuring that every dollar we spend is accounted for accurately and used strategically. This role offers an exciting opportunity to not just analyze numbers, but shape the financial narrative of our organization. It's not just about deep diving into data, but also about surfacing with meaningful analysis which impacts our business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the financial analysis process, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our cost accounting data. Your scrutiny can prevent financial discrepancies and ensure sound decision making.
- Configure and implement accounting systems, with a preferred emphasis on Oracle software. Your expertise will contribute to arming our teams with streamlined, effective systems that promote efficiency.
- Assume the exciting responsibility of traveling to other facilities for 20-30% of your time. Your insights from these field visits can provide firsthand information to drive crucial business decisions.
- Identify possible cost-saving opportunities and make informed financial recommendations. Your ability to spot these chances can help us maintain our commitment to offering premium products without compromising on quality or affordability.
- Invest in the growth of our team by mentoring less experienced members. Sharing your knowledge and expertise can help uplift the entire team's competency.
- Review financial reports, identifying and addressing any discrepancies or areas of concern. Your vigilance can prevent any potential financial obstacles, thus promoting business stability.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of cost accounting experience
- Experience with accounting system configuration and implementation preferred
- Experience with Oracle software preferred
- Must have strong skills in analysis of financial information
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Management; MBA in Finance highly desirable
