Job description
IH Mississippi Valley Credit Union is seeking a Finance Manager to join the team! This department is based out of our Corporate Headquarters in Moline, IL and this role can be fully remote or hybrid.
This role has direct reports and will be instrumental in team development and career pathing. Provide oversight and direction for updating monthly financial data management applications including ALLL/CECL models and publishing management analysis and narrative reports. Provide oversight in preparing quarterly reports and submission files for the Call Report, 3rd party borrowing base and financial forecasts. Track performance against various defined policies and benchmarks. Analyze financial data to uncover patters and trends that can be used to assist management with making informed financial decisions; identify revenue enhancement, cost savings, and risk reduction opportunities.
Experience Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other relevant field
- Minimum of 7 years progressive finance experience in a financial institution
- Staff management and development skills and prior supervisory experience
- In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices
- Solid knowledge of financial analysis, modeling, and forecasting, including hands on experience in an analytical role
- Strong fluency with various software models; high proficiency with Excel formulas and functions; SQL and/or Power BI knowledge a plus
- Ability to understand model outputs to present meaningful results to management
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills
- Comfort dealing with ambiguity and the ability to work independently
- Experience working with, and presenting to, senior executives
Additional Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation of budget variance analysis and profitability analysis
- Assist the credit union with implementing projects that enhance performance, increase efficiencies, and reduce costs where appropriate (e.g., system upgrades / enhancements, etc.)
- Provide back up for the Assistant Treasurer and the VPs of Treasury and Finance.
