Summary
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all operations of MAX Maintenance, including but not limited to scheduling, dispatching, materials procurement, job costing, operational efficiencies, and quality control. The Operations Manager will oversee major projects and ensure company goals are attained. The General Manager will cultivate relationships with clients and Management.
SCOPE: The Operations Manager reports directly to the General Manager.
Duties Overseeing all areas of MAX Maintenance operations:
- Maintain good public relations and interact with clients, customers (internal and external), and co-workers in a positive, respectful and professional manner.
- Perform field visits ? inspect work in progress and completed work. Base field visits on complaints, results, and reports.
- Perform periodic reviews of maintenance techs with a focus on quality assurance.
- Participating in continuing education, including safety training, and certifications for maintenance staff.
- Assist in creating bids for services as appropriate.
- Oversee weekly maintenance time inputting into invoicing software, work with Accounting Dept. to assure timely inputting and billing. Maintain time-tracking (hours and billable hours).
- Promote department goals and ensure they align with Corporate Goals.
- Assist with the oversight of equipment and fleet and assure equipment is safe, effective, and current. Assure vehicles are maintained to ideal safety and mechanical levels.
- Assure all processes and procedures are understood and followed by all.
- Take ownership of operations software assuring all jobs are inputted, scheduled and closed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Work directly with the General Manager assisting in organizational and administrative duties as required.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Physical Demands The Operations Manager may spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers. There may also be some shop and field work during inspections or providing assistance which might require ladder use, lifting, driving, walking or similar physical functions.
Environmental Conditions: This position is located in a busy, open area office. The incumbent will be faced with interruptions and must meet with others on a regular basis. Frequent meetings and trainings virtually or in person will occur at offices or other facilities.
Mental Demands: The Operations Manager will deal with a wide variety of people on various issues within and without the department. The Operations Manager will analyze, review and come up with plans for improvement, efficiencies and sustainability for the company, which will create mental and physical demands.
