Position: Senior Manager II, Finance – Data Transformation

Job Location: 702 SW 8th Street, Bentonville, AR 72712

Duties: Collaborates with finance and planning teams to help identify and capture requirements for data and reporting needs based on current data gaps and pain points. Data curation and remediation efforts support data availability for reporting, ad hoc analysis, key business initiates, and the financial planning process. Facilitates the data product development lifecycle in partnership with cross-functional teams. Manages complex control structures to mitigate risk of financial misstatement by examining and monitoring at different stages; guiding cross-functional teams to develop new processes; ensuring proper controls are present in new and existing financial functions; and working to enhance reporting transparency of company financial systems. Communicates with functional areas to understand significant variations; validates logic and calculations used for reporting or allocations; and providing follow-up or answering any questions regarding financial data issues. Provides input to business decisions by producing complex financial models that incorporate assumptions, expectations, and known risks; preparing presentations and other supporting materials for recommendations; participating in business case presentations to senior and executive management; and communicating forecasts, assumptions, and variances to senior management. Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly, developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning. Supports finance data governance efforts by promoting data literacy, defining data catalogues, data glossaries and influencing the implementation of data quality best practices as part of data curation and dataset development.

Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or the equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science or related field plus 2 years of experience in product management or related experience; OR Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science or related field plus 4 years of experience in product management or related experience.

Skills required: Must have experience with: application of financial acumen while interacting with financial datasets; data literacy by facilitating and defining data catalogues, data glossaries and cataloging datasets using Collibra; identifying business rules, and managing and monitoring data quality across dimensions using DQ tools; data governance policies and standards, and tracking compliance; data source discovery and analysis; analyzing financial data to identify variances or mismatches in datasets; issue management and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for tracking for failures on critical datasets; project and product management experience and mindset delivering customer requirements; conducting business requirements gathering; data profiling using MITI; product management to identify and prioritize feature enhancement for a DQ application; capturing and translating functional and technical requirements in actionable implementation guidelines; decision making and problem solving as part of product development; logical data model and process flow development and collaborating with technical, business stakeholders and customers; developing product strategy; driving execution of multiple business plans and projects; and providing guidance and industry best practices to technical and business stakeholders.
