Job Summary

Job Description
- Evaluates the chemical and physical properties of various organic and inorganic substances to investigate their applications in formulated products.
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
- Diligently records all laboratory tasks performed and related procedures and findings in electronic laboratory notebook system.
- Works under immediate supervision.
- Will work in the formulation and delivery team, product development in seed treatment and supporting production of commercially launched products.
- Work with research scientists to support research and production, assess raw material changes, develop next generation products.
- Working on various projects, requires hands on lab experience and interest in working in the lab.
Skills Required
- 0-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Has knowledge of commonly used physical chemistry concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
- Must follow SOP's and basic lab techniques with pH meter, mixer/agitator, homogenizer, and milling equipment.
- Particle size with light scattering, rheometer and interfacial measurements experience is a plus, as is proficiency in chemical engineering principles and mass-balance calculations.
- Some industrial experience is preferred with formulation development with pesticides, adhesives, food industry or cosmetic industry.
Education/Training/Certifications
- Requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to pass drug screen & criminal background check.
- Shift: 08:00 AM
- This position may extend to 2 years or more.

Pay Rate/Salary
- Estimated Salary: $22.00 to $30.00 per hour based on qualifications.
