Job Description Summary
Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise, conceptual and practical knowledge of theories and principles, and applies general knowledge of business and industry practices with technology product management. Serves as an advisor to solve unique problems that have a broad impact on the business. Leads overall product management, strategic vision and focus, an execution of growth plans for a technology product, product family or segment. Improves technology products through compiling and evaluates research on online/digital product requirements and identifies enhancements to current features and functionality based on expertise in both marketing/product management and online/digital media. Interfaces with engineers, designers, suppliers, and customers to develop online/digital media product requirements and specifications. Effectively manages various aspects of the line of business in support of the organization’s goals and market needs which may include marketing strategies, marketing programs and tools, competitive analyses, market assessment, and product planning. Typically leads, manages and/or participates in the entire lifecycle of the product, working closely with development teams from product initiation to delivery to eventual product retirement. Analyzes market trends and needs and articulates technology needs. Anticipates product planning and design to ensure the product is differentiated from competitors in the marketplace. Leads projects or initiatives across areas with moderate risk and complexity to achieve milestones and objectives. Exercises creativity, foresight, and judgment in conceiving, planning, and executing on initiatives. May contribute to the development of functional strategy.

As an AI Product Manager at Wolters Kluwer, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our legal content and services, with a specific focus on leveraging AI technology to advance the field of legal content and legal technology. You will work collaboratively with our legal content experts, AI and machine learning programmers, data scientists, UX designers and other development resources to deliver the strategy, vision, and execution for products that provide high-quality legal content and services powered by AI in a rapidly evolving legal landscape. The ideal candidate for this role will be passionate about the legal industry and have experience in developing innovative AI-driven legal content and technology solutions. You have a proven track record of launching products, both from the ground up and at scale, with a strong emphasis on AI integration. You thrive in constantly evolving dynamic environments and bring creativity and agility to product development. Your innate curiosity and dedication to understanding the needs of legal professionals enables you to define successful AI-powered products that offer real value. Being organized and ready to pivot and aligning product roadmap in response to market demand and competitive landscape will be key.
Responsibilities:
Lead the vision, strategy, and execution of innovative legal content and technology applications, with a strong emphasis on Generative AI (Gen AI) integration, defining a robust roadmap for AI-driven product development and expansion of use cases in the ever-evolving legal and regulatory field.
Project manage the discovery and implementation of transformation journey by creating a clear framework and governance for all level of the organization. Project manage pilots or proof of concept ideas to prove out the hypothesis and ensure that adoption of the change is institutionalized within the organizations. Absorb successful POC outcomes into the ongoing roadmaps.
Leverage search and summarization capabilities offered by generative AI and LLMs to identify use cases that add value and to legal professionals in the form of conversational search, enhanced workflows, and predictive analytics.
Synthesize insights from customers and legal practitioners in general into actionable product requirements, user stories, and product specifications to create user-centric AI-powered solutions and capabilities.
Analyze key performance metrics to inform product success and evolution, ensuring our AI applications deliver exceptional value and user experience in the legal market.
Maintain a deep understanding of the legal landscape and AI advancements, including market capabilities and trends, to ensure our AI-powered products stay ahead of the curve.
Keenly follow the competitive landscape which includes established vendors and startups. Familiarity with developing pricing models for new product launches is a plus.
Technology and continuous learning will be required. You will have familiarity with generative AI, large language models and working with vectorized search databases
You might be a good fit if you have:
5+ years of experience in Product and program Management, with a successful track record of launching AI-driven legal products, both from inception and at scale. Ideal candidate will have experience and exposure in the legal or compliance field.
Working prior experience in technologies such as SAS, R, Python and in-depth knowledge and experience of machine learning algorithms will be helpful.
Ability to be responsible for different generative AI project lifecycles that include but not limited to defining scope, working with existing LLM models or pre train them, if necessary, adapt and align the model for specific legal use cases through prompt engineering, fine tuning and deploy them for inference.
A technical background, enabling effective collaboration with AI engineering teams and have meaningful discussions with developers and data scientists. Knowledge of legal tech and software engineering experience is a plus.
Proficiency in data analysis, including the use of tools like SQL, to make informed, data-driven decisions in the context of AI-powered solutions.
The ability to navigate and excel in ambiguous environments and adapt to different legal domains to find clear and effective Gen AI solutions.
Proven success in launching Gen AI-driven legal products and gathering feedback, input, and data from legal professionals through beta testing.
Enthusiasm for cross-organizational collaboration, a willingness to balance competing priorities, and strong communication skills to convey complex legal and AI concepts in easily understandable terms.
A passion for leveraging Gen AI technology to advance safe and beneficial legal solutions and further the goal of improving the legal industry.
Compensation:
Target salary range CA, CT, CO, HI, NY, WA: $141,000-$197,550
This role is eligible for Bonus.
