Superintendent - Commercial Construction

Job description
Position Overview: The Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and managing the overall construction project, including supervising the work of subcontractors, ensuring that proper safety protocols are adhered to, and troubleshooting any issues that arise. You're also responsible for coordinating the activities of staff members and subcontractors to ensure that the construction project is on time, within budget, and of the highest quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee the daily activities of staff members and subcontractors.
- Ensure safety protocols are adhered to and that all safety precautions are taken.
- Review subcontractors work and ensure that all construction meets the agreed-upon standards and specifications.
- Ensure that the construction project is progressing according to schedule.
- Manage material procurements and ensure that materials are delivered on time.
- Develop and implement strategies to ensure the highest level of quality control.
- Troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Commercial Construction.
- Experience with Ground-Up, Structural Concrete, Structural Steel, High Rises, mid-rise, Educational, K-12, and Higher Ed construction projects.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
