In search of:

Before and After School Assistant Teachers who have a passion for working with children and their families in a caring, educational setting that is rooted in the mission of the YMCA, a non-profit, charity organization. Possible opportunities available in elementary schools and Y branches in Alliance, Northwest, Canton City, East Canton, Jackson, North Canton, Lake (Hartville), Louisville, Perry, Plain and Minerva school districts.

Hours/Shift:

Monday through Friday 6-9am and/or 2-630PM (exact hours vary by school district)

Pay Rate: $12.00 /HR

*Complimentary Y membership and discounted rates for child care and programs also included.

Who Are We Looking For?

Individuals who will...

• Serve as a professional role model for children grades K-5 by leading through example, encouraging healthy and safe behaviors and creating a positive experience while ensuring safety and proper supervision of all.
• Participate in and lead activities with students that include, but are not limited to, arts and crafts, sports, STEM, character education, and social and emotional skills.
• Partner and build relationships with parents, school employees, administration and other adults in order to foster a supportive environment for each child.
• Be a part of an amazing team of staff focused on teaching teamwork and social skills, and supporting children as they grow and learn.
• Partner and build relationships with parents, school employees, administration and other adults in order to foster a supportive environment for each child.
• Execute State Licensing and Step Up to Quality requirements in order to provide a quality care environment.

Qualifications:

• At least 18 years old
• Completed high school or GED program
• Ability to pass a background check
