Z Modular is looking for a couple of Structural Engineers to join our dynamic team! These positions report to the Director of Engineering, with one resource in Troy, MI and the other in either Chandler, AZ or Austin, TX. We are looking for Engineers who are highly detailed-oriented, thorough, and self-motivated. This position is responsible for the structural design for steel modular buildings and helping to develop design standards for all future buildings. You will be expected to solve design problems that have not been asked or solved before. You will work in the pre-design phase all the way through the fabrication of modules. The experience will be challenging, yet rewarding as you shape the future of design and construction.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Structural analysis and design of steel modular structures
• Steel connection design
• Structural code review
• Communicating with design teams
• Drafting structural plans and details
• Shop drawing review
• Communicating with production team

REQUIREMENTS:

• BS in Structural, Civil, or Architectural Engineering with structural concentration
• 5 to 10 years of structural engineering design and analysis
• Professional Engineer license
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit
• Proficiency in a structural analysis program: RISA-3D, ETAB, SAP2000, and/or similar programs
• Precise written and verbal communication skills
