Scientific Software Engineer Intern

SynchroGrid is looking for a Scientific Software Engineer intern with some backend experience. We are a College Stationbased consulting company developing simulation and automation software to serve the electric power industry. The intern will be an integral part of a cuttingedge research project developing next generation solutions for power systems domain applications. This candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced researchers and engineers in a fastpaced consulting environment.

What you will do:

• Develop prototype AI/ML applications in Python as proofs of concept
• Work closely with experienced researchers and engineers in the HPC and Power Systems domains
• Write C code to interact with an external scientific simulation software package
• Analyze simulation results to make the power grid smarter and more adaptive
• Participate in code design and reviews
• Write unit and integration tests for new and existing features
• Other duties as assigned.
