A Workday HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) Operations Manager plays a crucial role in managing and optimizing HRIS systems, processes, and data within an organization. Their responsibilities typically include overseeing the day-to-day operations of the HRIS, ensuring data accuracy and security, and collaborating with HR and IT teams to meet the organization's human resources and business needs.
Responsibilities:
System Management:
Oversee the administration and configuration of the Workday HRIS, ensuring it aligns with business needs.
Manage system upgrades, patches, and integrations to maintain optimal system performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, working closely with IT support teams.
Data Integrity:
Ensure the accuracy, security, and confidentiality of HR data within the HRIS.
Implement data validation and quality control measures.
Develop and maintain data governance policies and procedures.
Reporting and Analytics:
Create and manage HRIS reports and dashboards to provide insights into workforce trends, metrics, and KPIs.
Work with HR and business leaders to gather requirements for custom reports.
Process Optimization:
Collaborate with HR and other departments to streamline HR processes and workflows within the HRIS.
Identify areas for improvement and implement best practices for data management.
Training and User Support:
Train HR staff and end-users on HRIS functionalities and best practices.
Provide ongoing support and assistance for system users.
Compliance and Security:
Ensure the HRIS complies with data privacy regulations and company policies.
Implement security measures to protect sensitive HR data.

Documentation:
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Information Systems, or a related field. A master’s degree can be a plus.
Proven experience(5 years minimum) in HRIS administration, particularly with the Workday platform.
Strong understanding of HR and business processes.
Knowledge of data governance, data analytics, and reporting tools.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Familiarity with data privacy and compliance regulations.
Project management experience is a plus.
Certifications in Workday are a plus.
