Scope of work:
Supporting the 2025 Stellantis program. Performing tuning work on the Dodge Ram pickups and flat beds, leading through OBD work for system errors, tracking SW requirements. Doesn't have to work the SW, just know how to tune, and work with the software. On board diagnostic forms, tuning, engine speed issues, etc. might shift them over to support other BPI cycles. They have barracuda, titanium and other programs and Sri program that he needs people to support. Run different tests, run data, etc. If there wasn't a ton going on, there would be someone they could work with to learn more. Will be doing both simulation and bench testing. HIL/MIL/SIL experience is helpful.
Success profile:
- Need to have the ability to learn PID controllers (familiarity with that helps, but will train if they don't have it)
- Willingness to work cross-functionally. In team environment with fuel system, combustion, air handling groups.
- Working cross functionally on root cause analysis for combustion tuning data and taking that data to the team to understand what the issue is, then reiterating that change needed to the various teams you work with.
- This person will have some sort of exposure or experience with Simulink logic or something similar.
- DFMEA or FMEA work would help or tuning experience.
Must Haves:
- Calibration experience (control module parameters that works with engine speed performance, robust tune, fault code, etc.) or OBD, NDFL, etc. OBD means this person has developed calibration and tuning and proved to the group that it works. Not needed. There are existing infrastructures to build upon.
- Simulink models experience/familiarity. Knowledge of Simulink blocks, what they do, how switch statements work, Simulink complexities, etc.
- Validation experience/root cause analysis/ABA testing, proof of concept tuning.
- STEM degree (manager came from physics, will take EE or ME degree)
Nice to Have:
- HIL/MIL/SIL experience is helpful.
- Knowledge of PID controllers (practical/theoretical)
- Located within an hour of Columbus, IN
