This is an ONSITE position overseeing a team of 3 and 3rd party vendor. PAYRATE: $110k - $120k annually depending on experience
Reporting to the CFO, as Director, Revenue Cycle, you will manage and oversee our external billing and collection provider and our internal team serving as liaison to that provider, including authorization, coding, billing, claims and collections. You will be responsible for maximizing the productivity and minimizing errors using structured auditing and reporting methodologies combined with follow-up training. You'll also assume a strategic and practical role in the finance department to include day-to-day responsibility for billing processing and strategy, planning, management and analysis, and policy development.
Our Revenue Cycle Director will: - Oversee the full revenue cycle management of the organization Maintain current knowledge of financial/revenue compliance, changing regulations, and maximum reimbursement; ensure compliance throughout the system.
- Ensure billing system data integrity and accuracy.
- Optimize billing and collections practices to achieve revenue and operating profit; ensure timely handling and collection of rejected claims.
- Generate the billing report for the external billing and collection provider, supervise and audit entered charges.
- Oversees the day-to-day activities of the authorization, invoicing, and collections.
- Oversees/monitors that the proper and timely documentation is prepared as needed for initial and continued authorization.
Our Revenue Cycle Director will BRING:
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or Healthcare Administration or equivalent.
- 7+ years of revenue cycle experience with 3+ years of experience as a manager, director or equivalent.
- Experience in an integrated health care system and supporting multiple locations.
- A strong understanding of the revenue cycle for all payers, including daily and monthly closings.
- Demonstrated knowledge of all Insurance companies, HMOs, PPOs and third-party payers.
- In-depth knowledge of operating in an out-of-network environment, including negotiating single case agreements with payers.
- Experience directly overseeing payer and provider billing, collections, and cash postings, with strong research and audit skills.
- Finesse and a demonstrated ability to facilitate communication between and extract relevant information from a variety of stakeholders to comprehensively identify problems and subsequently create sustainable and scalable solutions.
- Experience managing subordinates and contracted service providers.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) as well as with EMR systems (KiPu a plus).
