Job Description General & Vascular Ultrasound Tech FT: Mon - Fri. (1:30 PM - 10 PM) Essential Job functions :
- Prepare the Vascular Laboratory and equipment for procedures to be performed
- Compile test results on the patient to be forwarded to a physician
- Prepare patient for vascular study
- Observe the patient for any complications of the procedure
- Document observation and report to the physician
- Demonstrates ability to interpret patient status and information during the study.
- Maintain adequate patient records and documentation
- Assist in the patient charges for services provided
- Educate the patient on the procedure
- Assist quality assessment collection data for the patient
- Restock and prepare the room for the next day's procedures in conjunction with other team members
General Job functions: - Other job duties as required
Education, Certification, Computer, and Training Requirements: - 2-4 years experience required.
- Diploma from a Vocational / Technical School is required. A certificate from an Accredited Ultrasound program is required
- Associate's degree preferred
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) Certification is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) is required
- Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to operate ultrasound equipment required
- Experience with Standard Office Equipment (Phone, Fax, Copy Machine, Scanner, Email/Voice Mail) preferred
- Experience with Standard Office Technology in a Window based environment preferred.
- Experience with Patient Care equipment preferred
- Experience with EHR, Practice Management Systems, and Departmental/Ancillary Systems preferred
- Must have General and Ultrasound Vascular Experience
