Job description
Lead the complete project lifecycle of complex construction projects ($250,000 - $25 million) from inception to handover, exceeding client expectations and optimizing profitability. Collaborate effectively with architects, subcontractors, suppliers, and owners to ensure seamless project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Master Scheduling & Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive project schedules utilizing Primavera P6 or similar software, aligning with contractual milestones and optimizing resource allocation based on team skills and size.
- Stakeholder Communication Hub: Facilitate clear and continuous communication across all project stakeholders – field staff, suppliers, clients, subcontractors, and office management – fostering collaboration and timely issue resolution.
- Performance Optimization: Implement effective performance management frameworks for employees, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring adherence to quality standards and cost control objectives.
- Financial Stewardship: Manage project budgets with meticulous precision, utilizing cost-tracking software like Viewpoint Vista (preferred) to monitor expenditures, identify variances, and implement corrective actions.
- Billing & Reporting: Analyze monthly job cost reports, collaborate with the Business Manager to develop accurate monthly billing applications, and ensure timely client invoicing.
- Client Relationship Building: Develop and nurture strong client relationships through proactive communication, active identification and management of client expectations, and unwavering commitment to project goals.
Technical Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- 7+ years of proven experience managing complex construction projects from pre-construction to completion.
- In-depth understanding of construction methodologies, project management principles, and cost control strategies.
- Proficiency in scheduling software (Primavera P6 preferred) and job costing software (Viewpoint Vista a plus).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous approach to detail.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
