The Professional, Data Platform Architect’s role is to use expert skills and knowledge to define and deliver data solutions and to contribute to the development and implementation of the enterprise data strategy ensuring it is in line with and supports the IT and Business strategies. With the growing push of data and information being used as corporate assets, serving as integral platforms for generating revenue and competitive advantages, this individual must be able to understand both the technical points of data management, as well as the business drivers and needs regarding data and solutions to promotes its effective use.
1. Leadthe data system design of solutions for large projects and programs; through expert knowledge translate high-level business requirements into data models and appropriate metadata, test data, and data quality standards.
2. Experience with System Integration, platform optimization and emerging cloud data concepts.
3. Experience with cloud data services such as Azure ADLS, ADF, Event hub, Synapse Link .
4. Work as part of the data architecture team management team on transformational and differentiating efforts. Work closely with external other engineering and architecture teams to ensure solution makes best use of technology and meets requirements.
5. Simplify the existing data platform landscape and when possible, fully realize the capabilities of the platforms.
6. Lead collaborative team working with other areas to ensure that all solutions are complete, operable, conform to business processes, and meet the business needs with the agreed quality of service.
7. Understand end to end system integrations from data creation to consumption.
8. Responsible throughout the entire project lifecycle for the end-to-end solution of the project and compliance with enterprise data model and logical data groups.
9. Experience with Big Data Platforms, Data Warehousing, Data Lakes and Data Mesh/Hub concepts.
10. Ensure the end-to-end solution is fit for purpose, meet the needs of business, the agreed requirements, and are both pragmatic and supportive of the strategic architecture direction.
11. Help Oversee the end-to-end management of the organization’s data assets (data lifecycle, information lifecycle) including data platform adoption and sunsetting.
OTHER DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Understanding of data management practices such as data integration, data governance, master data management, metadata management, data quality management, security/privacy, and data modeling.
2. Experience with enterprise level BI Platforms in the development and scalability areas.
3. Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to regulatory compliance issues as they exist and change from time to time.
4. Performs other related duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Degree: University degree in the field of computer science, Engineering, or related field.
Minimum Experience: - 7 years’ experience working in the Data Management and information Management spaces.
- Experience in data warehousing, data modeling, and data analysis.
- Good knowledge Data Visualization techniques and platforms.
- Experience with database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, Oracle, Hadoop, Spark).
- Experience with cross platform integrations using APIs and secure connections.
- Experience developing reference architecture, principles, and standards.
- Extensive experience with delivery of data solutions and SDLC processes.
- Experience in planning and initiative designs.
- Experience or knowledge of the data requirements for health insurance industry.
- Proven experience in Data Management planning, organization, and development.

- 40-hour onsite or remote work week with on-call availability as needed.
