Job description
The University of Dubuque is a faith based growing University that is seeking a Lead Teacher for the Childcare Center. We seek applicants who have a passion for teaching, a love for children, and want to work with other teachers as a team to ensure high quality care and education.
Maintain daily communication with parents
Provide quality educational experiences
Complete and post weekly lesson plans based on Creative Curriculum
Model appropriate teaching and behavior strategies for assistant teachers
Attend to cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
Develop interpersonal relationships with children and their families
Perform other duties as assigned in support of the University's Mission
Minimum of high school diploma, Early Childhood degree preferred
Previous experience working with children is required
Ability to work a flexible schedule is preferred
Current certification in First Aid, CPR, Universal Precautions, and Mandatory Reporting training is preferred: ability to obtain certifications after employment is required
Ability to bend, stoop, and kneel
Excellent communication skills - verbal, written, and interpersonal
