Closing Date: Until Filled The East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT) is a public Career and Technical Education District (CTED) providing tuition-free career and technical education (CTE) programs to high school students - public, charter, and home-schooled - and tuition-based programs to adults who reside in 11 school districts in the East Valley of the Phoenix metropolitan area.
EVIT offers over 40 CTE programs at four centralized campuses. Centralized campus programs provide two to four hours of hands-on training every day and prepare students for professional certification and licensing exams. EVIT students who complete their training have a 98 percent high school graduation rate and 90 percent on average are in jobs related to their training, college or the military within a year. Two out of three EVIT students go on to college.

Director of Information Systems with the East Valley Institute of Technology. The starting date is approximately
March 11, 2024 . The beginning salary range for this position is approximately
$98,953 - $126,659 competitive salary based on education and like experience. This is a
12-month, full-time position. School business hours are M-F 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This is an exempt position with extended work hours if job related responsibilities are required outside the normal work hours.
Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Associate Chief Operating Officer, the Director of Information Systems oversees the development, execution, support, and evaluation of a robust and comprehensive information system. Works with senior leadership, departments, and staff to help them effectively utilize the applications of technology within their respective areas of responsibility. In addition, the Director focuses the department on innovation, efficiency and implementation of effective industry leading telecommunication and technology practices that will aid EVIT in providing the highest quality educational programs, services and the infrastructure to ensure smooth management of the overall operation. This position is also charged with planning, coordinating, and implementing proper network security measures.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in a related field AND eight (8) years of related experience as a computing professional, which includes five (5) years of management/supervisory experience; OR, any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
- Valid Arizona Department of Public Safety Identity Verified Prints (IVP) fingerprint clearance card.
- Proof of immunization against or immunity to measles and rubella if born after January 1, 1957.
- Valid Arizona Driver's License is required to drive an EVIT vehicle
