Job Summary:

As an MDS Coordinator in Long-Term Care, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with documentation requirements for reimbursement and adherence to New York State Department of Health regulations. Your responsibilities will involve overseeing the Minimum Data Set (MDS) process, coordinating assessments, and ensuring accurate documentation to support reimbursement. Additionally, you will facilitate communication between interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive care planning for residents.

Requirements:

1. Familiarity with Documentation Requirements for Reimbursement:

• Experience and understanding of documentation processes related to reimbursement in a long-term care setting.
• Ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date records to support reimbursement claims.

2. Knowledge of New York State Department of Health Regulations and Survey Process:

• In-depth understanding of New York State Department of Health regulations governing long-term care facilities.
• Proficiency in navigating the survey process and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

3. Current New York State Registered Professional Nurse License:

• Possession of a valid Registered Professional Nurse License in the state of New York.
• Compliance with all licensing requirements and commitment to maintaining licensure through continuing education and professional development.
