Job description

Job Summary: Monitors and analyzes security activities from Security Operations Center (SOC).

What is the work? (other duties may be assigned)
Security:
- Monitors by video, all entry and exit points for pedestrian and vehicle traffic on proprieties and facilities owned and operated by H-E-B
- Manages the Security Operations Center for assigned site, utilizing video management and access control systems
- Prioritizes workload based on urgency; delegates tasks
- Responsible for the intake and coordination of serious incident reports
- Performs routine duties with little or no supervision

Communications:
- Communicates with a range of audiences
- Responsible for conducting security site surveys
- Responsible for completing security reports
- Communicates incidents with a sense of urgency, and in a timely manner

Preferred Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (2 years of higher education preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in security
- Experience as a guard (preferred)

Preferred Key Competencies
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word and Excel
- Strong verbal / written communication skills
- Decision-making skills
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between tasks
- Adaptability

Physical and Other Requirements
- Must have a neat, professional appearance and report to work in a complete and clean assigned uniform
- Function in a fast-paced, retail, office environment
- Travel by car or plane with overnight stays
- Work extended hours / sit for extended periods
- Work rotating schedules
- Occasionally lift 20 lbs or more
- Hand / finger dexterity; use arms / hands in repetitive motion during the day
