Technical Writer II

TQI Solutions is actively seeking a collaborative and skilled Technical Writer II to join our dedicated team. As a key contributor, you will provide crucial support to our esteemed client located in Chesapeake, VA.
Responsibilities:
- Write/edit technical documents in support of NAVAIR team.
- Ensure timely completion of multiple, simultaneous, independent events and projects of moderate complexity.
- Prepare and track correspondence.
- Coordinate project timelines and assist managers with results.
- Manage the check-in/check-out process of documents.
- Prepare and maintain monthly status reports.
- Manage daily project tracker.
This is a full time, salaried, exempt position.
Requirements
- Three years of experience working with and editing documents
- Bachelor's degree in English Preferred.
- Expert knowledge of MS Word. Ability to use of automated headings/tables of content, page/section breaks, tables, images, etc.
- Intermediate knowledge of Adobe. Ability to create PDFs, fillable forms, etc.
- Intermediate knowledge of PowerPoint. Ability to produce basic presentations/modifications to “master slide”.
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel. Ability to create/manipulate spreadsheets and insert basic-to-intermediate graphics.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including advance features to support data validation/verification and reporting.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team. Primary job functions require exercising a degree of independent judgment with guidance from supervisor.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to build and maintain working relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments involved in the projects.
The incumbent of this position will be subject to a background investigation and will be required to maintain a Government granted security clearance.
