The FinTech ATARI team at Amazon builds machine learning systems that process billions of dollars in payables to detect and prevent theft and fraud. From the moment a payment is initiated to when it's processed at the bank, our team works tirelessly to safeguard Amazon's businesses against financial irregularities. Your contributions will have a significant impact, measured in the hundreds of millions of dollars.

On a typical day, you'll lead a cross-functional team of machine learning scientists, software engineers, and business analysts. Together, you'll develop cutting-edge detection and prevention systems that process terabytes of data. You'll collaborate closely with customers, gather their requirements, and work on innovative solutions.

We're seeking an experienced Software Development Manager to lead our team in building fraud detection systems for corporate clients. This role requires strong technical skills, exceptional leadership abilities, and a customer-centric mindset. While a background in finance or fraud isn't mandatory, curiosity and a willingness to learn are essential.

Key job responsibilities
* Participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to design, implementation, and deployment.
* Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and identify suitable scientific or technical solutions.
* Execute designs in a scalable and extensible manner, leveraging the latest technologies and best practices.
* Lead and mentor a team of talented professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
* Partner with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions that meet customer expectations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
