Job description
Seeking a Behavioral Health Director to oversee and ensure the success of the Behavioral Health program, including meeting program objectives, productivity benchmarks, and clinical outcomes. The Director will manage day-to-day operations, policies, and procedures of the Mental Health and Addiction/Recovery Services programs at all agency clinic sites. This role requires alignment of program development, implementation, and evaluation with the organization's mission and strategic plan.
Key Accountabilities:
- Program Planning and Operation: Provide direction in planning, program design, and operation of Behavioral Health programs and strategies. Monitor, analyze, and report regularly on program status, ensuring quality and compliance.
- Staff Management: Lead and manage staff through mentoring, coaching, and supervision to meet organizational goals. Ensure staff engagement and fiscal oversight, including budgeting and grant management.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with regulations, laws, and best practices in behavioral health service delivery. Provide education, analysis, and administrative information to support policy development and decision making.
- Leadership: Support and promote the organization's mission and goals through effective leadership and management practices.
Qualifications/Experience/Requirements:
- Master's degree in Social Work, MBA, or related field preferred.
- Active and unrestricted AZBBHE licensure in one of the following- Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Professional Counselor (LPC), Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Independent Substance Abuse Counselor (LISAC) preferred.
- Five or more years of related administrative experience in behavioral health required.
- Three years of supervisor experience required.
- Possess a current and valid Arizona driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
- Must pass a criminal background check with a Class I Fingerprint Clearance Card within the initial ninety (90) calendar days of employment.
- Must pass a substance abuse testing upon employment and submit to random testing during employment.
- Must have an updated Immunization (IZ) Record, including COVID vaccination record.
- Must have a current Tuberculosis (TB) skin test upon employment and provide an annual update.
