Job description
Aerotek is hiring for a tooling technician in the local Gadsden, Al area!
Shift: 2nd
Pay: 28.00 - 35.00 an hour
Qualifications:
· Must be team oriented and work well with others.
· Experience working in a Tool and Die role maintaining medium to large Tandem, Transfer and Progressive metal stamping dies.
· Working knowledge of sheet metal forming, trimming, piercing and a basic understanding of metallurgy.
· Applicable troubleshooting skills.
· Experience with using hand tools related to die repair.
· Experience with Tig welding tool steels.
Working knowledge of tool room equipment e.g., mills, lathes, surface grinders and radial drills.
Experience:
· High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
· 5 - 10+ years of experience preferred
· Preference of a Journeyman Tool and Die certificate or at least 2 years on job experience.
