Overview
Quincy Medical Group (QMG) has an exciting opportunity for a
Phlebotomist to join our team. QMG is a multi-specialty group practice with more than 155 physicians and providers in West Central Illinois, Southeast Iowa, and Northeast Missouri. Responsibilities The Phlebotomist is responsible for collecting specimens such as blood, urine, and swabs from patients for analysis. Perform various screening tests. Quincy Medical Group provides on-the-job training for this challenging and rewarding role.
This is an hourly, non-exempt position. Normal work schedule is on an as needed basis. Work location is in Quincy, IL.
Qualifications The ideal candidate will be detail oriented and compassionate. Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills when working with patients. Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment and adaptable to changes departmental needs. Knowledgeable on laboratory procedures and medical terminology.
High school diploma or GED required. Completion of an accredited phlebotomy program and/or two years of related experience preferred.
