Job description
Position Overview: An Audit Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating an organization's external audit activities. This includes the planning, execution, and reporting of external audits. The Audit Manager must ensure that any audit recommendations are promptly implemented and monitored, and that all financial information is accurate and reported in compliance with laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage the external audit program, including the scope, objectives, and processes for performing external audits.
- Analyze and assess internal controls, operations, and processes.
- Identify areas of risk and recommend improvements.
- Conduct audits to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies and procedures.
- Develop audit reports and present audit findings to senior management.
- Prepare and file financial reports.
- Monitor implementation of audit recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 5+ years of experience in external audit in public accounting
- Solid understanding of auditing standards, principles, theories, and practices.
- Knowledge of risk assessment and management.
- Ability to analyze data and identify trends and anomalies.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other related software.
