Summary

When you join our team in Cedar Rapids, you’ll join a uniquely collaborative, multi-discipline engineering community who support each other working across our domestic design centers creating cutting edge products for global markets. You’ll be paired with a mentor to help support you as an integral part of a team responsible for designing custom test solutions.

The Skyworks Design Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa is looking for a highly skilled and motivated RF Test Engineer to contribute to industry-leading development of Power Amplifier (PAM) and Front End (FEM) module test solutions for the fast paced and highly competitive cellular handset market. You will be involved in test hardware design, software development, lab debug, and test data analysis, making meaningful contributions to the Mobile Solutions Business unit.   #LI-SG1

Responsibilities

Job Requirements

•    Bachelor’s degree in electrical or software engineering with at least 2 years’ experience in RF test (or equivalent)
•    Familiarity with 5G/4G/3G/2G cellular standards and WLAN/Bluetooth
•    Familiarity RF measurements:
•     Spectral analysis
•     Modulated signal analysis (e.g., EVM, ACP)
•     Envelope Tracking
•     Digital Predistortion
•     Vector Network analysis
•     Noise figure
•     Digital control / serial bus control (MIPI RFFE)
•     DC analysis / pulsed current
•     Loadpull/Sourcepull using automated tuners
•    Proficient with Microsoft office tools (Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Word…)
•    Proficient with software development and test automation techniques (C#, C++, Matlab, Python)
•    Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
•    Pro-active, creative, and collaborative problem solver
•    Possesses a team-oriented attitude and takes personal-pride in team success

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $73,400 - $132,600per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others.
