Position at Sumitomo Electric U.S.A., Inc.

I. Purpose of Position

The purpose of this position is to design and conduct digital marketing campaigns in collaboration with sales groups, utilizing (but not limited to) our owned social media platforms, website, and other digital assets. The goal is to maintain and improve our brand awareness in the US market, ultimately creating a more efficient environment for both our customers and our sales operations.

II. General Functions/Specific Responsibilities

Digital Strategy Development

-Develop and execute comprehensive digital marketing strategies aligned with both company’s and each sales group’s business goals and objectives.

-Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and digital marketing best practices to ensure a competitive edge.

-Implement effective lead nurturing campaigns utilizing digital channels to cultivate potential customers and create a positive follow-up environment for existing customers.                         

Campaign Management

-Plan, implement, and optimize online marketing campaigns across various channels, including but not limited to search engines, social media, email, website, and display advertising.

-Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics, adjusting strategies as needed to achieve desired results.

Content Marketing

-Oversee the creation and distribution of high-quality, engaging content across digital platforms.

-Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to develop compelling content that resonates with the target audience.

SEO and SEM

-Implement and manage search engine optimization (SEO) strategies to improve website visibility and rankings. 

-Execute and optimize search engine marketing (SEM) campaigns to drive targeted traffic and conversions. 

Social Media Management

-Develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness, engagement, and lead generation. 

-Monitor social media trends and manage the company's presence on platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram.

Analytics and Reporting

-Utilize analytics tools to track and analyze digital marketing performance. 

-Prepare regular reports on key metrics, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

Collaboration and Communication

-Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, and other PR departments to ensure alignment and integration of digital marketing efforts.  

Improve and strengthen business operations

-Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOP) regarding digital marketing.

IV. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field. 

Proven experience as a Digital Marketing Manager or in a similar role.

Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, tools, and techniques.

Demonstrated success in developing and implementing effective digital marketing strategies.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent oral and written communication skills (Japanese skills are a plus).

Experience in dealing with Japanese manufacturers preferred.

V. Experience 

5+ years in marketing, digital marketing, public relations, or similar/equivalent experience

VI. Position in Organization

Reports to Sales Planning Group Manager

Directly Supervises: 0 member(s)

Minimum Position Requirement:

 Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint 

 National and International travel will be necessary. 

 Legal eligibility to work in the USA.  

The base salary range for this position is $60,000 to $80,000 annually.

*This is a hybrid and an exempt position.
