Job description

Legendary Beverly Hills casual dining restaurant Nate'n Al's seeks experienced Executive Chef to oversee daily culinary operations. The right candidate is an experienced culinary professional looking for a career with significant growth potential.

Our Executive Chef will also be responsible for coaching, motivating, scheduling and managing a diverse group of employees. Successful candidates will be high-caliber, assertive performers with strong results, experience and a positive, "can-do" attitute. Individuals must have a passion for food, strong culinary knowledge, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, high standards of sanitation and safety, exercise independent decision-making, and the drive to grow and develop those around you.

LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY

RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Oversee all aspects of culinary operations to ensure excellence in efficiency, teamwork and food quality

-Provide effective leadership for management and culinary teams by being engaged in daily operations, providing direction and support to achieve goals

-Drive financial performance of the restaurant by maximizing vendor relationships and keeping a keen eye on cost and waste

-Provide a positive work environment for staff members by giving them the tools they need to be successful with open, honest and direct communication

-Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety

QUALIFICATIONS:

-4 or more years’ experience as an Executive Chef in a fast-casual environment

-Demonstrated leadership skills, including coaching, directing, and motivating a team

-Knowledge of and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to human resources, health, safety and labor requirements of the restaurant, employees and guests

-Excellent written and verbal communication with a positive and outgoing personality

-Capable of delegating multiple tasks

-Must enjoy and be able to succeed in a fast-paced and high stress work environment

-Ongoing current Food Safety Manager certification

-Able to work in a standing position for prolonged periods of time

-Able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds

-Ability to work a flexible schedule based on restaurant needs; Must be available to occasionally work nights, weekends & holidays

-Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred
