Description:
Ability to diagnose and analyze heating, ventilation and A/C problems. Ability to work as a
team member. Knowledge of the practices, methods, materials and tasks commonly used in the
repair and service of air conditioning and refrigeration equipment. Knowledge of the mechanical
and electrical operation and repair characteristics of refrigeration equipment. Ability to read and
interpret wiring diagrams. General knowledge of electrical processes and codes. Knowledge and
skill to use the tools of the trade safely. Knowledge and understanding of preventive
maintenance programs. Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions. Knowledge
of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Environmental Protection
Agency (EPA) requirements. Ability to troubleshoot problems and implement corrective
measures. Ability to maintain records.

Job Summary:
To assist in maintaining physical facilities of the district in good working condition and
to provide a safe and healthy environment for students and staff.

Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Completion of training course in air conditioning mechanics.
3. Valid Florida driver's license.
4. Experience in the repair of A/C, refrigeration and heating equipment.
5. Minimum of three (3) years experience in related field.
6. Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screening.

Salary Information: Support Personnel. Pay Grade 12. Two hundred fifty days worked per year (12 months). FLSA Exempt.
