Job description

Pioneer Healthcare Services is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a skilled nursing facility in Sunnyvale, CA for a 13 - week contract with the possibility to extend. The ideal Therapist will have a minimum of 1 year experience in the geriatric population. New grads are encouraged to apply. This can be a travel or a local assignment.

Responsibilities of a SNF Occupational Therapist:

• Plan, develop, and conduct occupational therapy programs
• Test and evaluate patients' physical and mental abilities
• Analyze medical data to determine rehabilitation goals for patients
• Consult with rehabilitation team to select activity programs
• Coordinate occupational therapy with other therapeutic activities
• Assessing the need for and recommending potential home modifications and safety equipment to reduce
• Teaching residents with low vision how to maximize their remaining vision and enhance safety through new techniques and technology
