Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform network administration tasks (ex: ACLs, 802.1x groups, and device provisioning); research event-log warning and errors; and monitor resources to ensure that network architecture components work together seamlessly.

• Working with InfoSec and other teams to define patch management needs; design and implement appropriate solutions.

• Install, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot network-related hardware.

• Configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, etc. in accordance with security standards and operational requirements.


• Assist with deployment and provisioning activities.

• Maintain and update system networking devices.

• Plan and execute appropriate documentation, inventory, and related IT control procedures.

• Assist the help desk and other teams with troubleshooting to identify root causes and provide technical support when needed.

• Research, selection, planning, and implementation of new technologies to support business needs.

• Develop tools and scripts to assist with routine and complex maintenance tasks.

• Support the implementation of major architectural changes.

• Maintain documentation of systems and processes.

• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field or equivalent professional experience.

• Thorough understanding of networking concepts.

• Thorough understanding of layer 2 and 3 network switches, preferably Aruba AOS-CX.

• Thorough understanding of firewall configuration, preferably FortiGate.

• Expertise with IPv4, subnets, IPsec Tunnels and protocols.

• Ability to operate as a team or independently as needed.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to describe in detail the steps and approach taken to complete your tasks.

• Knowledge of security and live production best practices and experience working in live high availability production environments.

• Ability to prioritize tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology related field or equivalent professional experience.

• Professional certificate specific to the networking industry.

• Experience with network authentication 802.1x wired/wireless.

• Strong understanding of security best practices.

• Familiar with network management applications.

• Familiarity with risk management.

• Experience with network analysis tools, ex: Wireshark.

• Familiarity with NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC.
