Job description

Job Title: Project Manager Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to lead our large and complex IT projects. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing project planning, execution, and delivery, with a focus on cloud-based data warehouse technology. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project management principles, methodologies, and tools, along with demonstrated success in managing IT projects within government agencies. The Senior Project Manager must possess a valid Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and have a strong background in utilizing project tracking software to develop and maintain integrated master schedules. Experience with agile or hybrid agile methodologies and familiarity with AWS, Snowflake, and Correction Department operations will be advantageous. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage large and complex IT projects, ensuring adherence to project management principles, methods, and techniques. Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and work plans using project tracking software (e.g., Microsoft Project). Coordinate project activities, resources, and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution and delivery. Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies as necessary. Communicate project status, milestones, and risks to project stakeholders, including government agencies and senior leadership. Work closely with cross-functional teams to define project objectives, deliverables, and success criteria. Facilitate agile or hybrid agile methodologies, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives. Utilize cloud-based data warehouse technology, such as AWS and Snowflake, to support project requirements and deliverables. Collaborate with Correction Department stakeholders to understand and address specific operational needs and requirements. Ensure compliance with project management best practices, standards, and regulations. Minimum Technical Qualifications: At least seven (7) years of broad, extensive, and increasingly responsible experience applying project management principles, methods, techniques, and tools. Minimum of four (4) years of experience as a senior project manager leading one or more large or complex IT projects. Minimum of three (3) years of experience working with cloud-based data warehouse technology. Possession of a valid Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI), active and in good standing. Desirable Qualifications: Two (2) years of demonstrated experience utilizing project tracking software (e.g., Microsoft Project) to plan, develop, maintain, and report on highly complex integrated master schedules and work plans. Two (2) years of experience as a Project Manager on a Large and Complex IT System implementation for a government agency. Two (2) years of experience as a Project Manager utilizing agile or hybrid agile methodology on a Large and Complex IT System implementation project. Experience with AWS, Snowflake, and Correction Department operations.
