Job description
This position is designed for a person with people skills and who wants to be a trial attorney. The position will assist in all aspects of trial preparation from preparing demand letters to verdict forms. There is an opportunity for significant courtroom experience and client interaction. Responsibilities: • This position assists with all aspects of pre-trial and trial procedures. This includes preparing pleadings, motions, discovery, depositions, focus groups, investigation, research, and anything else required to get the job done. Qualifications: Required skills: • Member of the California Bar • Good understanding of evidence under California and Federal law. • Good writing skills • Computer skills – Microsoft 365, Westlaw Pluses for the Job: • Prior litigation experience • Investigation skills • Writing experience About Company: About Us: The Kaufman Law Firm represents employees in litigation including wrongful termination, wage and hour, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims.
