Job description
Selectek has an immediate need to hire a GIS Technician for a full-time position with an agency near Birmingham, Alabama. Job Details  Candidates in this role will be inputting, processing, and logging maintenance of power distribution lines and equipment assets into an ESRI GIS Database. Required  High school diploma or equivalent Two years of experience with GIS technology OR Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geospatial Science, or a related field Proficiency with ESRI ArcGIS or ArcGIS Pro Knowledge of AutoCAD software Experience with power distribution systems Compensation  $22.00-$26.00 per hour based on experience. This is a contract assignment scheduled to last three years from the hire date. Schedule  Flexible: Monday-Friday, 8:00a - 5:00p OR Monday-Thursday 7:00a - 5:30p with some possible overtime. Work-from-home hours are available for consistent producers after the training period, which is estimated at around three months. Candidates will still need to be able to commute in if needed.
