Job description

As a cloud architect on our team, you’ll build, operate, and maintain hybrid cloud capabilities. You’ll manage and communicate risk, utilizing your ability to strategically think, develop plans, and orchestrate execution. You’ll collaborate with your team as we research the current environment and recommend tools and capabilities from various on-premise, cloud-based, and hybrid resources. You’ll share expertise with your teammates as we help the customer overcome their most difficult challenges in the cloud. Your technical expertise will be vital as you work with the Air Force to ensure standards are met throughout the cloud migration process. This is an opportunity to use the latest cloud technologies as you look for ways to improve your customer’s environment using current cloud capabilities and services. You’ll be able to sharpen your skills in computer programming and scripting languages while developing critical systems for the Air Force. As a technical expert, you’ll identify new opportunities to build cloud-based solutions to help our client meet their evolving needs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2+ years of experience managing infrastructure and applications in an enterprise environment
• Experience managing applications within a Cloud Service Provider, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud
• Experience developing and improving application architecture to ensure client needs are met
• Experience Identifying application integration requirements specified by the client
• Experience implementing enhancements to improve applications and systems performances
• Knowledge of networking, storage, compute, and database fundamentals
• Knowledge of operating systems, including Linux, UNIX, Ubuntu, or Red Hat
• HS diploma or GED and 7+ years of experience with Cloud computing or Associate's degree and 5+ years of experience with Cloud computing
• Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience troubleshooting applications
• Experience managing containers or virtual machines
• Experience with Docker
• Knowledge of Terraform and CloudFormation
• Knowledge of DevSecOps tools
• Bachelor's degree
• AWS Cloud Practitioner, Security+, CompTIA Cloud+ Certification
