Job summary
We are helping a global EPC company hire a Senior Architect to play a pivotal role in guiding the architectural team through the design and construction process.
As a Senior Architect, you will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including clients, discipline design leads, management teams QA/QC manager, and the architectural discipline lead. You will also lead, train and develop a team of 5-10 architects.
Key Responsibilities
- Hold primary accountability for all architectural designs, while fostering a culture of shared design responsibility.
- Collaborate with design and technical teams to develop design deliverables, from initial studies to construction documents, encompassing drawings and specifications.
- Conduct thorough reviews of architectural drawings to ensure completeness, constructability, and coordination.
- Provide comprehensive training and development opportunities for architectural designers in all processes, procedures, and standards.
- Coordinate, guide, and oversee the team to devise technical solutions for challenging design and client issues.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (Master’s degree preferred).
- Architectural License (AIA) in the state of NC.
- Possess a minimum of 10 years of professional experience.
- Previous experience in the Bio-Life Sciences space preferred.
- Proficient in executing projects using Autodesk Building System Software.
- Experience with Design-Build projects is preferred.
- Familiarity with managing teams utilizing Autodesk Building Systems Software is preferred.
- Experience in global teams and/or multi-office project execution is desirable.
- LEED® AP with Specialty or GA (Green Associate) certification is preferred.
- National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) Certificate is advantageous.
