Position Summary: The EMT works individually under the medical direction of the ED Medical Control physician or supervising PM. Provides competent patient care with corresponding documentation and performs other miscellaneous related duties within the EMT scope of practice according to the Iowa Code 641-Chapter 147A with the service physician medical director approval. Demonstrates compliance for routine daily operations, performance of QI activities and attends/participates in educational programs and in-services.

Minimum Qualifications:

EXPERIENCE
• Experience (paid or volunteer) as a FR or EMT preferred.
CERTIFICATE/LICENSE
• Current valid Class C (noncommercial) Iowa driver’s license and current valid Iowa EMT certification as applicable. Must also submit motor vehicle record to HR department during screening process.
• Current BCLS.
