TITLE: Ophthalmic Technician\

Each tech is assigned to 2-3 different office locations and all must be able to commute to the Uptown Pittsburgh office occasionally for team meetings:\
1. Butler, PA and Beaver, PA and Warrendale, PA\
2. Monroeville, PA and Greensburg, PA and Pittsburgh, PA\
3. McMurray, PA and Rostraver, PA and Pittsburgh, PA\
4. Stuebenville, OH and Weirton, WV\
WORK SCHEDULE: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4pm or 8am-4:30pm\
PAY: competitive pay based on experience plus an attractive benefit package to include health, dental, and 401(k).\

DUTIES\
This Ophthalmic Technician will be responsible for performing direct patient care for a fast paced practice! Duties would include but not be limited to: \
- Performing technical ophthalmic work up, obtaining measurements, as well as assisting and performing other tests and procedures as required (visual acuity, pupil assessment, applanation tonometry, refractometry)\
- Obtaining comprehensive medical and ophthalmic history\
- Obtaining and following up on referrals\
- Communicates with patients regarding follow-up care\
- Sterilization of medical equipment\
- Position also requires adhering to strict confidentiality, providing quality care, excellent communication, and customer service care.\
\
REQUIREMENTS:\
At least 2 years of, recent, Ophthalmic Tech or Ophthalmic Assistant experience required\
Experience in use of a slit lamp \
Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR)\
All employees must have reliable transportation for floating between assigned offices as needed
