Job description
Aerotek is seeking a Technician for a medium-sized company in Bend, OR. This position is a ROTATING schedule each week from 3-4 days on/off and QUARTERLY from Day Shift Q1 to Grave Shift Q2 etc. Ideal candidates will have knowledge with forklifts, operating machinery that handles hazardous materials, ability to maintain inspections/reports accurately, and handle chemicals in a safe manner. The starting pay is 25$HR with the first weeks starting on Day Shift to train. Once you are settled in your routine, you will begin to work some OT and have opportunity for bonuses/pay advancements. Those interested will need to be prepped for a 3-part interview process due to the nature of the role and working with chemicals. Those who have experience in Firefighting and Military work tend to be successful in this role.
Duties include, but not limited to:
• Safely operate process equipment using computerized control systems
• Follow standard operating procedures to comply with high standards for safety and accuracy
• Monitor and analyze equipment and process activity to accurately document process conditions
• Physically maneuver production equipment manually and using powered equipment
• Apply Quality Assurance techniques to assess intermediate and finished material
• Work as a part of a responsible, self-directed team with minimal supervisory presence
• Read and interpret diagrams and drawings of process components and instrumentation
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent; advanced education is preferred
• Related industrial/,manufacturing or similar experience (such as military experience, farm work, breweries, etc.)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Understanding of mathematical principles to accurately measure and handle bulk chemicals
• Ability to pay attention to detail
• Ability to be productive and safe in a 24/7 work environment on any shift
