Acute Care Manager – RN

Requirements:
- Master’s degree in behavioral health field or Health Care Administration
- Registered Nurse with minimum of bachelor’s degree (Masters Preferred)
- FL Licensed Clinician (LMFT, LMHC, LCSW)
- Prior experience as a supervisor of an inpatient/residential and/or acute care psychiatric setting
- 2 years of similar leadership experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting
- Clinical and risk management skills
- Ability to demonstrate a high level of competency in working with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness and substance use disorders.
- Flexibility, accessibility, working after hours, including some weekends, to ensure accountability and integrity.
- Ability to effectively utilize available resources to ensure a comprehensive, holistic, and integrated treatment approach that supports evidenced-based practices.
- Exceptional skills in organization (time and information) and communication (written and verbal)
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the 24/7 operations for Emergency Psychiatric Receiving Facility (15- bed Child Crisis Unit, and 30- bed Adult Crisis Unit).
- Supervising a multidisciplinary team of dedicated medical and clinical professionals (Medical Practitioners [MD/PA/APRN], Nursing Supervisors, Clinical/Administrative Supervisors and BHT Supervisors) to oversee the safe daily operations.
- Overseeing this team to ensure environmental safety, smoothness of operations and continuity of comprehensive care.
- Contributing to agency initiatives and strategic planning as a senior clinical leader and as part of the Clinical Directors team.
- Managing crisis services in compliance with the Florida Mental Health Act and evidence-based practices.
- Developing extensive knowledge of agency plans, policies/procedures, and standards of care plus participating in ongoing program developments and enhancements.
- Collaborating with internal and external partners/agencies for full fiscal responsibility in developing and managing the operational budget for the Acute Care Program.
