Job description
Job Title: Senior Java Developer
Location: Remote
Experience: minimum of 10 years
About the Role: As a Senior Java Developer at our dynamic and innovative company, you will be responsible for maintaining, designing, and developing solutions using Java, Spring, Hibernate, and other open-source technologies.
Key Responsibilities: - Planning, designing, debugging, and coding software solutions for Java application development
- Develop Java-based software using industry best practices
- Writing and implementing efficient and reusable code in Java
- Test the software to ensure it meets requirements and is performant
- Provide technical support to testers and our IVV team
- Troubleshoot new and existing problems with our software
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure that code is of the highest quality
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure that the code is properly managed in GIT and deployment processes are properly documented
- Work with product managers and designers to ensure the software is designed well and meets user needs
- Identify opportunities to improve existing Java code
Qualifications: - Minimum of 10 years of experience in Java development
- In-depth knowledge of website design and programming
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of Java and Java EE
- In-depth knowledge of Spring
- In-depth knowledge of ORMs (Hibernate)
- In-depth knowledge of webservices
- In-depth knowledge of software change management systems (GIT)
- In-depth knowledge of software building/deployment (Jenkins)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- AWS knowledge is a plus
- Knowledge of hardware and operating systems (Unix-based systems a plus)
- Understanding of relational databases (Oracle)
- Agile experience with application servers (Tomcat, WebLogic)
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, or a related field is preferred.
