Job description
A lovely young family of 5 in Manhattan is seeking a well-rounded, full-time, live-in nanny when working/live-out when off to work Friday through Monday with flexibility to work Thursday as needed. The family has 3 children and there are 2 other nannies on staff.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, all aspects of full-charge nannying, such as developing and adapting schedules as the children’s needs evolve, bathing, dressing, all child-related meal prep/snacks and feeding purees, introducing solids and finger foods, cleaning and sterilizing bottles, planning and implementing age-appropriate activities which promote the children's physical, emotional, and intellectual development, creating a safe and secure environment for the children at all times, maintaining a clean and organized living space for the children, including their bedrooms, play-areas, and common areas, and performing light child-related household duties, such as dishes and tidying up after the children. Their ideal candidate is a team-player who will be dedicated to and involved with enriching the lives of their children during the formidable years and beyond, has teaching experience, is a career nanny who has experience with infants and caring for multiple children, and has patience and is passionate about childcare and child development. The family travels extensively and the nanny will be required to travel both domestically and internationally. The household is very active and requires someone who has great energy who can navigate the ebbs and flows of the day and who doesn’t mind traveling at a moment’s notice. It is important that the candidate clearly communicate with the parents about daily activities, progress, and any concerns, and naturally provides an overall feeling of calmness and warmth. Being comfortable around pets (the family has a dog) and being fully vaccinated against COVID are required for this role. A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are a plus, but are not required. The family values their privacy and it’s imperative that the candidate maintain confidentiality and always respect the privacy of the family. The family is looking for someone who will be with them long-term and is offering $35 to $45 per hour based on experience, with excellent medical benefits, 401k, and 2-weeks PTO.
