Job description

Old Marsh Country Club in Wells, ME is looking to expand the golf course maintenance team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working outside, working as part of a team, and playing golf! This position is responsible to perform the maintenance and upkeep of all golf course grounds including fairways, tee boxes, surrounds, greens, approaches, cart paths, and irrigation systems. This position reports to the Superintendent of the property.

Job starts April 1, 2024 and ends November 30, 2024.

Essential Functions

• The ability to operate high end precision golf course machinery.*
• Use moderate to heavy equipment to complete duties as assigned, i.e. leaf blower, power washer, walk behind mowers etc.
• Maintain and clean all outdoor areas related to our golf operations.
• Wash, clean, and re-fuel all equipment after use.
• Maintain the golf course by mowing, edging, raking, weeding, and performing other maintenance functions.
• Maintain the appearance and safety of cart paths.
• Operate tractors, trucks, or utility vehicles to transport equipment and supplies.

*Training will be provided to the right candidates.

Qualifications

• Previous grounds keeping experience preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent
