Job description
Central Texas Heart Center in Bryan, Texas, is an established private cardiology practice that has been taking care of hearts in the Brazos Valley for over 35 years.
We are seeking an experienced full-time Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our busy and growing cardiology practice. Candidate must be self-motivated, accountable, dependable, organized and must possess strong communication skills and the ability to multitask. Must possess adequate computer skills with the ability to efficiently navigate and utilize electronic medical records.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Work as a team in the Central Nursing Center.
- Coordinate referrals and consults from referring physicians and/or hospital.
- Procedure and outpatient imaging scheduling.
- Assist in procedures performed in the office.
- Manage incoming calls and/or electronic messages for patient's symptom concerns, medication questions, instruction for procedures, and all other nursing questions.
- Perform post-procedure site checks, give injections as ordered or explain self-administered medications/injections.
- Ensure accurate medical records in charts.
- All other duties assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Cardiology experience preferred but not required.
- Critical thinking and problem solving.
- e-ClinicalWorks or similar EMR experience required.
- Must hold a current State of Texas nursing license and be in good standing with the state (Required).
- BLS certification.
- ACLS certification is a plus, but not required.
Clinic Hours:
Hours: 8am to 5pm Mon-Thurs, and 8am to 12pm Fridays
No call, no weekends, no nights.
Job Type: Full-time 40 hours per week
